Dreams is a resort situated in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  The staff here are one of many that represent the backbone of resort-style vacationing that dominate Mexican coast lines.

The idea of a resort vacation was never appealing, but this past year under certain circumstances I had the opportunity to stay at two resorts in Mexico. 

This surprisingly allowed me to develop a greater understanding of the tourism industry and its important role in the economics of the country.

Photographing the workers at Dreams was a way to reach out to the local people. I often found the workers to be overlooked, and as a visitor you come to realize the importance of these jobs to the local workforce.

I felt the workers needed to be recognized and acknowledged as a significant part of the success of tourism in these regions.
